The client chose Hall Des Lumières to host their 2023 company holiday party. They were looking for a fully customized, immersive experience for their guests and teamed up with Prestidigital to make that happen. The client wanted to showcase music, obviously, but also their many brands – and they wanted to do it with an exciting motif of ancient sculptures and ruins integrated with modern musical flare.
We created two fully 3D environments comprising ancient ruins, a variety of foliage, and classical sculptures interacting with musical instruments. We also created 3D “stone sculpture” versions of their various brand logos and scattered them across the landscape. The entire design had a daytime and nighttime version, and added the illusion of depth and extended architecture to the walls of the venue.
A unique creative direction: ancient ruins and statues with a musical flair. We were allowed significant creative freedom and this quickly became one of our most fun and successful events to date.
Every part of the design had two distinct looks: a “dramatic realism” look which then animated, halfway through the event, to a “surreal” look. Lighting on the 3D elements shifted to incorporate the WMG brand palette, plants became bioluminescent, and animated stars appeared in the background.
A variety of 3D models of classical sculptures were sourced and edited to incorporate modern musical instruments, keeping with the theme of the event.
